Spent several hours flight testing the big twin engine Red Helicam in Columbus this weekend along with the Canon 5D Mark II on the Logo 700 electric. Both helicopters worked well and we walked away with some great shots and even more ideas to improve the set ups.
Whats the diference to fly an electric or a twin engine (gasser?) The electric has less vibrations? Great work!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks,
ReplyDeleteElectric models are far easier to make smooth (and even they are difficult!). But taking the vibrations of the gas engine out the the equation makes the job much less work. We have found that opposed twin cylinder gas engines can be made about as smooth as an electric and can keep in the air much longer.
